The five W’s of LifePoint Church

WHO started it all?
The Senior and Founding Pastor, Brad White, his wife Stephanie.

WHAT were they thinking?
That they would start a church that would help the New Tampa area with life-relevant, every day issues.  This new church would be designed to reach those who don't go to church, or who had given up on church.  They would do this  by having great uplifting music in a relaxed atmosphere, and do everything they could to make sure everyone felt like they matter.

WHEN did LifePoint open its doors?
LifePoint launched in September of 2000. Brad, Stephanie and Jason did everything from set out the coffee and donuts to singing.  My, have things changed since then!

WHERE did this church first take root?
The Marquis Apartment Clubhouse in Richmond Place is where they gathered for the first time.  Since then, LifePoint has had a few other homes, including two elementary schools and the YMCA.  We're so thankful for our new church home at 8702 Hunter's Lake Drive.

WHY do we do what we do the way we do it?
We've done our homework, and found out that people avoid church because they have to dress up, because they can't find meaning in what they hear, and especially because it's BORING!  We want to strip away all of those barriers.  This is why we offer great music with a full band, messages with topics relevant to everyday life, and a casual relaxed atmosphere.  There's no dress code - jeans or shorts are great!  We believe people matter to God, and he accepts us just the way we are, and LifePoint does too!
